On 3rd August 2022, The Union Government of India recognized Bhartiya Shiksha Board and handed over the management of the board to Yogrishi Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust Haridwar.

In the year 2015, Yogrishi Baba Ramdev submitted a proposal to the Central Government of India through his Haridwar-based Vedic Education Research Institute (VERI) for a new national school board i.e. Bhartiya Shiksha Board.
The purpose of Baba Ramdev through the BSB is to Indianise education by offering a mix of archaistic education of Maharshi Dayanand, Human education of Aurobindo, Vedanta education of Swami Vivekananda, and modern curriculum.

Vedic Educational institutions like Yogrishi Baba Ramdev’s Acharyakulam, Vidya Bharati schools (Run by the RSS), and Gurukuls run by the Arya Samaj will not have to depend upon the CBSE Board for affiliation, and they can affiliate with BSB to sustain their model of Vedic Education up to Class XII.

On this achievement, Yogrishi Swami Ramdev said that Patanjali is going to do the work of cleaning up the sins that Macaulay had committed in 1835 through the Bhartiya Shiksha Board.
Baba Ramdev expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for the formation of the Bhartiya Shiksha Board (BSB).

Earlier Vedic Educational institutions and Gurukuls had to follow the CBSE curriculum due to the absence of a specialized school board for Vedic Education.
